 Home at Last Withdraws Eligability

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of Home at Last Project made the difficult decision to withdraw the eligibility of one of its home recipients. The mission of Home at Last is to build mortgage-free, accessible homes for disabled veterans who have been wounded while serving our country. In this case, the board determined that retired Marine Sergeant Brandon Wittwer has not met the requirements for veterans who would qualify for a Home at Last home. In its agreements with awarded veterans, Home at Last has specified expected standards of conduct for recipients. While the initial selection had been made in this case in 2015, the board determined that the home, which is still under construction, should be awarded to another deserving veteran. Home at Last regrets that the board had to take this action, but it was necessary to ensure the well-being of all involved and the integrity of this important organization.
